Labour Relations Officers

The Union of National Employees has eight labour relations officers that are there to help you should you ever be treated unjustly. To better help them become familiar with your workplace's unique issues, each is assigned to specific employer groups.

Our labour relations officers represent members in the final stages of the grievance process, members who have filed staffing complaints and members appearing before the Public Service Staffing Tribunal. When a member chooses to file a grievance or a staffing complaint, labour relations officers often supply the proper wording. They are also experts on how your collective agreement should be applied and interpreted.

Your labour relations officer works with your local union representatives; together, they form an invaluable team that is there to help you. If you need advice on a workplace issue, are concerned about protecting your rights or are experiencing discrimination or harassment, we highly encourage you to contact your local union representative.
