The Union of National Employees has many essential standing committees that oversee certain day-to-day operations and larger projects. These committees are composed of National Executive members and Assistant Regional Vice-Presidents. Each committee also has a technical advisor and administrative assistant from UNE staff.

Terms of Reference
March 2025
- Membership of this Committee has been established from the Union of National Employees’ “57” who are Racialized, including one “15” plus its national Equity Representative for racialized members as co-chairs.
- This committee engages with “rank & file” membership at large via:
- Conformant Locals’ Human Rights officer and their President (Vice if non-existent) bilingually, whose email contact list should be rendered available; they may even apply for committee positions.
- Or Regional HR reps who belong to its national human rights committee.
- The ‘15’ co-chair presents a report during their National Executive meeting; or should that individual be absent, the RM committee members decide who.
- Committee quorum is 50 percent of said membership; they all will be given reasonable notice in advance of scheduling.
- UNE members in good standing may observe this committee’s meetings. All expenses incurred are the responsibility of such an observer’s local or themselves: prior approval must be sought from its co-chairs.
